There are a number of ways you can create a beautiful natural fro. Wash and go, braid out, twist-out or the blow out. Here's how I got mine!
1. After washing the hair, it is then deep conditioned. While soaked in conditioner take a medium sized section of hair and comb using a wide tooth comb from the bottom up. Once the section is detangled I twist it or plait it and move on to another section (you'll end up with approximately six to eight sections in total).
2. When the hair is detangled leave the conditioner on for about 30 minutes to one hour to allow it to feed the hair follicles. Leaving the hair in sections, rinse using cool water to re-seal the cuticle layer.
3. Blot dry with a towel, apply oil to the scalp and massage oil into the scalp. Then take each section and put in a good moisturiser like shea butter and a penny sized dollop of styling gel to help to enhance the curl pattern (I use IC Fantasia styling gel). Since you combed it while you were washing there is no need to comb it again plus you want to retain the curl pattern. I tend to split the original section into two and twist it back down again to stretch the hair out.
4. Once com
plete, allow the hair to dry naturally or use a hair dryer on a cool setting. The next day unravel them and use your hands to separate them out (NO COMB!). For this style I put about 12 big twists at the back and two rows of flat twists at the front to create the lovely frame of smaller curls.
This style can be worn as above with the kinky curls framing your face, back off the face, with a colourful head band that matches your wardrobe or accessorise with fancy hair clips or even a flower.
